Katharina Karcher

Dr Katharina Karcher is a Postdoctoral Associate Fellow at the Department of German Studies at Warwick University, where she completed her PhD, as well as a MHRA Research Fellowship and an Early Career Fellowship at the Institute of Advanced Study. She is also a Schröder Research Associate and affiliated lecturer at the Department of German and Dutch at the University of Cambridge. Her research focuses on political militancy and violence in post-WWII Germany. Her forthcoming book ‘From Tomatoes to Firebombs - Militant Feminisms in the Federal Republic of Germany’ (Berghahn 2016) offers a new perspective on the use of militant and violent tactics in feminist struggles since 1968.
