Shandra Back

Shandra Back is a 2025 Pulitzer Reporting Fellow and California Local News Fellow. Her work focuses on Latin American migration and displacement. She currently works as a bilingual audio reporter at Northern California Public Media. Her most recent project took her to the Dominican Republic, where she reported on the local impacts of Haitian deportations in sugarcane settlements.
