Kalwinder Sandhu
Kalwinder Sandhu started her professional life as a software engineer working for Marconi, becoming a senior manager responsible for developing telecommunications software. She subsequently worked for the NHS and Department for Education setting up and implementing national programmes. She undertook an interim executive role at a Black and Minority Ethnic domestic violence refuge and recently published Layers of Inequality; A Human Rights and Equality Impact Assessment of the Spending Cuts on Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic women in Coventry. She is currently in the throes of setting up a social enterprise for BME women in Coventry to access the labour market.
